It takes a village

Everyone who helps, on one plan

Raising a child was never a two-person job. Yearkeep gives every willing adult a real part in the week: the block they own, a two-line script in their language, three taps to log it, and a view of the growth they helped make.

Every adult is included. There is nothing to buy per person.

Today in Malay: the current block, a short script for the adult, and a large Done button.

What each person gets

Their own login

A one-tap invite link, not a shared password. Each adult is a real user with their own entries and their own thanks.

Their language

Malay, Indonesian, Tagalog, Dhivehi, Chinese, Arabic, English, and 12 more for every button and message. The language the child should hear is marked separately on each block.

The smallest role that works

Account owner, Full access, Day-to-day, or Highlights. A grandmother who does Tuesdays gets Day-to-day. An aunt abroad gets Highlights.

Three taps

Done, photo, she said. Large buttons, one word each. No forms. No essay at the end of the day.

Offline

The queue lives on the phone and sends when there is signal. Nothing is lost on a walk or in a lift.

Thanks, not grades

Everyone edits their own entries for 24 hours. Parents see them, thank them, and coach on Sunday, not mid-morning.

The handover

You see the day, without asking

Today for a parent shows who is on duty, which core blocks are logged, outdoor minutes so far, the nap timer, and any open concern. At 17:30 the handover digest lists what happened.

Unlogged core blocks after 14:00 nudge you, not them. You can ask, or log on their behalf.

Seeing the growth

Highlights for the people who cannot be there

Grandparents and relatives on Highlights get a weekly link in their language: six moments, the week’s first words, and three call prompts, questions to ask the child on the next video call.

They can record a story in their own voice. It appears in the books list for the child to hear again, and it counts as hours for that language.

Coaching, not correcting

One kind note a week, in their language

The Sunday review ends with one coaching point for the adult who runs the day, drafted from the week’s logs and translated. It arrives as a summary card, with the things they did well first.

The playbook holds what anyone needs to step in: dialogic reading prompts, the six-step conflict routine, risk versus hazard, the language protocol. Each has a print button and a language toggle.

The first four weeks

An onboarding checklist that does the training

For anyone who takes on regular blocks, a four-week checklist lives on their Me page. Week one: the schedule, risk versus hazard, logging. Week two: dialogic reading and describe-do-not-evaluate. Week three: emotion coaching. Week four: setting out a tray and stepping back. Parents tick it off; nobody sits an exam.

FAQ

Is this a way to watch the people who look after my child?

No. There is no GPS, no video, no live feed, and no keystroke log. Each adult logs what they choose in the blocks you planned together, and owns their entries for 24 hours. We will not build surveillance features.

Does a grandparent need a smartphone?

For Highlights, any phone that opens a link is enough; no account is created. For running blocks, a mid-range Android phone is fine. Capture works offline and a low-data mode delays photo uploads until Wi-Fi.

What if someone cannot read well in any of the languages?

The day-to-day view is icon-first with one word per button and large type. Scripts are two lines. Voice input works for quotes. Ask us if a language is missing.

We have a helper. Does this work for her too?

Yes. A helper is one more adult in the village, with the same login, language, and role choices as anyone else. There are no per-seat charges and no surveillance features.

Can one parent do it alone?

Yes. Planning, running, and reviewing all work with one adult. The plan still needs to leave your head, and the yearbook still builds itself. Invite people when you are ready.

Give the village one plan

Create the family, invite the people who help with a link, and forward the message. The week stops living in your head.
