Whoever is on duty sees exactly what to do next
Today is the working screen for whoever is on duty and the glance screen for the parent. It is built from the week’s template, the day’s overrides, classes, and what has already been logged.
The current block
One card with everything the adult needs
Title, time, the adult who owns it, and a language chip for what the child should hear. A short script in the adult’s own interface language. Materials with have or need. Prompt cards: CROWD questions on a book block, the adult’s move on an invitation.
Done, Partly, or Skip. Done on an outdoor block asks for minutes with presets. Done on a book block asks which book, from a recent list.
The timeline
The whole day, with status at a glance
Every block of the day with time, type, owner, language, and status: done, partly, skipped, not logged, or now. Classes from Outside appear in place. Day themes name the day: Making day, Music day, Nature day.
Parents also see who is on duty now and next, unlogged core blocks after 14:00, open concerns, nap so far, outdoor minutes, and the language split so far today.
Weather and haze
Bad air swaps the block and says why
Each morning Yearkeep reads a public weather and haze feed. If the haze index passes 100 or the heat is too high, the outdoor block on Today becomes an indoor movement plan and the adult on duty sees the reason in one line.
Day-to-day view
Large type, one word per button, their language
A grandparent, relative, or helper on the Day-to-day role lands on Today with the current block open. Type is larger, targets are bigger, secondary chrome is hidden, and their tabs are Today, capture, Playbook, and Me. Reactions from the parents, seen and thanks, appear on their entries.
Nap is protected: a live nap timer with a “she woke” button, and no reminders during nap.
Offline
It works in the lift and in the park
Today is computed on the phone from a local copy of the family’s data. Captures queue locally and sync when signal returns. An offline badge shows the queued count. Nothing is lost.

What is a core block?
A block marked core in the schedule template: usually the outdoor hour, the book blocks, and the work cycle. Core blocks are the ones that count for the dashboard and trigger a parent nudge if unlogged by 14:00.
Can a parent log on behalf of the adult on duty?
Yes. The parent nudge on an unlogged block offers “ask” or “log on their behalf”.
What happens on a class day or a trip day?
The class appears as a block with a fit-rating prompt afterwards. On a trip, Today shows a journal shortcut and the trip’s plan.
