How-to guides
Add your own activity
Custom activities sit beside the catalogue with the same fields: title, domain, the adult's move, and materials.

Goal: an activity of your own in the library, on the shelf, and in the plan. Parents only.
Steps#
- Go to Library › Activities.
- Tap + custom activity.
- Fill in:
- Title, for example "Ice cubes in the paddling pool".
- Domain: one of the twelve, from Practical life to Culture & faith.
- The adult's move: what the adult does and says. Two or three lines.
- Materials (comma separated).
- Tap Save.
The activity gets a code from 900 upwards and shows under the Family custom filter.
Use it#
- Open the card and tap Add to shelf or Add to plan.
- Its history (times done, engagement) builds like any catalogue activity.
- Edit it from the card. Only custom activities can be edited.
Tips#
- Write the move in the language of the adult who will run it. There is no automatic translation for custom activities.
- Keep prep low. The catalogue is deliberately low-prep so trays get set out.
FAQ
Can I edit a catalogue activity?
No. Catalogue activities are shared by every family. Copy the idea into a custom activity and change what you like.
Will the adult on duty see it?
Yes. Custom activities appear in the library for every adult, with the adult's move in the same highlighted box.
