Edit the family, the child, and the family languages
Change the family name and timezone, the family languages and default language, and the child's names in each script, date of birth, and photo.
Goal: the basics are right. Parents only.
Family#
- Go to Settings › Family.
- Edit Family name and Timezone (an IANA name such as Asia/Kuala_Lumpur).
- Under Family languages, tick every language the family uses; at least one must stay. Choose the Family default language from those.
- Tap Save.
The timezone decides when reminders fire and which day an entry belongs to.
Child#
- Go to Settings › Children.
- Edit Name in each family language, the Date of birth, and the Photo.
- Tap Save. The age band (2-3, 3-4, 4-5, 5-6) follows the date of birth and drives activities, targets, and checks.
Add another child creates a second profile; it becomes the active child.
FAQ
What are family languages for?
They decide which scripts the child's name is collected in and which language the family uses when a screen needs one. They are separate from the language plan that counts hours.
Can I add a second child?
Yes, from Settings › Children › Add another child. A child selector appears on child-scoped screens when there is more than one.
