How-to guides
Run the daily, monthly, and birthday reviews
The two-minute bedtime review, the seven-step monthly review with its energy audit, and the five-step birthday rewrite. The Sunday review has its own tutorial.

Goal: reflection at three more cadences. Parents only.
Daily (bedtime, two minutes)#
- Open Review › Daily P-D-R, or tap Open on the bedtime card on Today.
- Under Highlights from today, tick one to three. They are pre-filled from outdoor minutes, quotes, photos, observations, and deep engagement.
- Type a One-line note. Optional: Add drawing.
- Check Tomorrow in one sentence; it is pre-filled.
- Tap Done. Tomorrow's sentence appears on Today.
Monthly (first Sunday, about an hour)#
Open Review › Monthly. Seven steps: Portfolio curation (pick the month's photos, open the month page), Vocab check (confirm the inbox is reviewed), Ladder moves (pick up to two ladders to focus on), Class fit (review each enrolled class), Material rotation (swap ignored trays), Energy audit (a face for each adult), Project close & next. Tap Finish.
Birthday (two weeks before, about an hour)#
Open Review › Birthday when the banner appears. Five steps: Year summary from the data (top interests, under-served domains, ladders, vocabulary, classes, trips), Proposed roadmap with data-driven suggestions, Edit quarters, Yearbook (choose A4 or A5, generate, download), Her words (good at, learning, hard, with an optional voice note). Tap Finish.
Past reviews#
Review lists every past review with its highlights and decisions. Weekly reviews link to their summary.
FAQ
What if nothing stood out today?
The daily review offers A quiet day, nothing stood out as a highlight so you can still finish. Quiet days are data too.
What does the energy audit do?
If core completion is under 70 percent or any adult reports being drained, the review tells you to remove or swap one non-core commitment next month and protect breaks before adding anything.
