Approve new words from quotes

Goal: a vocabulary per language that means something. Parents only.

Steps#

  1. Go to Progress › Language.
  2. Under New-word inbox, each row shows the word, the language, and the quote it came from.
  3. Tap ✓ to approve, merge to fold it into an existing word (pick it from the list), or ✕ to reject.

Rows disappear as you decide. The inbox says Inbox empty when you are done.

What approval changes#

  • Vocabulary (words logged) counts per language, with a four-week delta and a sparkline.
  • First words: the earliest approved word per language with its date.
  • The monthly check for a vocabulary stall (no new words for six weeks) uses approved words only.
  • The She said timeline shows each quote with its new words.

During the monthly review#

Step 2, Vocab check, asks you to confirm the inbox is reviewed and links here.

FAQ

Why is every Thaana word suggested?

Dhivehi has no stop-word list, so every Thaana token is a candidate. Approve the real words and reject the rest; it takes seconds.

What is merge for?

A variant of a word you already approved, for example a plural or a misspelling. Merging keeps one entry and one first-word date.
