Interface languages
The nineteen interface languages, their scripts and direction, what is translated, and where English fallback shows.

Each adult picks their own interface language. It changes every button, label, and message (1,464 strings per language, complete in all nineteen). Signed-out visitors pick a language on the login and signup screens.

What is translated beyond the interface#
Curriculum content (activity scripts, playbook steps, ladder rungs, block names) exists in English, Malay, and Indonesian, with Dhivehi for block names, day themes, and ladder names. Every interface language maps to one of those four for content; outside the family-languages group, content shows in English with an EN tag ("EN — translate in Coach" on scripts). The Account page says: "Activity scripts fall back to English when a translation isn't ready."
Dhivehi and Thaana#
The Thaana font ships with the app, in PDFs, and on the grandparent highlights page, so Dhivehi renders on devices that have never seen it. Thaana characters in a quote identify it as Dhivehi automatically. Two printables are Dhivehi-only: the Thaana letter and fili tiles, and the grandparent question cards.
Not the same as the language plan#
The interface language is for the adult. The language plan (Dhivehi, English, Malay, Indonesian, Mandarin) is what the child hears and what is counted. See Language plan.
