How-to guides
Rotate the shelf
Keep eight trays on the shelf board, read the ignored badges, swap a tray with a suggestion or by hand, and update the tray photo.

Goal: eight trays the child can reach, refreshed weekly. Parents only.
The board#
Go to Library › Materials & shelf › Shelf board. Eight slots show a tray photo, the activity, and a badge when the tray has been ignored. A ninth slot is for adding.
Swap with a suggestion#
- Read the Rotation suggestion card: the most overdue tray and how many days since it was engaged.
- Tap Swap. Pick a replacement from the invitations that match the child's age band.
Swap by hand#
- Tap a slot.
- Choose Swap tray, pick the new activity, and confirm. Engagement counters reset and the change is written to Rotation history.
Or from any activity card in the library, tap Add to shelf. If all eight slots are full, the sheet asks Swap which tray? and suggests the most ignored one.
Update the tray photo#
Tap a slot, then Update tray photo, and take a photo of the tray as it is set out. The photo appears on Today under Today's trays.
Starter trays#
Replace with first 8 trays fills the board with invitations you can set out from the materials you own. If nothing matches, tick what you have under Inventory first.
Sunday#
Auto-plan proposes swaps for ignored trays and under-served domains. See Use auto-plan.
FAQ
When does a tray count as ignored?
After seven days without engagement it gets a badge. At fourteen it becomes a rotation priority. At twenty-one it is excluded from auto-plan until you place it by hand.
Why does the shelf show a festival or a trip?
A festival or trip added to the plan can land on the shelf as a life event. They are not daily trays; use Replace with first 8 trays or swap them for invitations you can set out.
