Keep up with people, places, trips, and festivals

Goal: the outside world on the same calendar as the home day. Parents only.

People and playdates#

  1. Go to Outside › People & playdates.
  2. Add a contact with a name, relationship, and notes. The chip shows days since last contact; tap Touch after a call or a visit.
  3. The Rotating scheduler suggests who is next: the family longest without a playdate, never-met first.
  4. Tap Playdate, choose With, date, time, Where, and tap Invite. An RSVP link is copied; send it by any message app.
  5. Afterwards tap Mark done and write one line.

The daily reminder "No playdate in 10 days" nudges parents.

Places#

  1. Go to Outside › Places. The banner shows today's temperature and haze with the outdoor window ("outdoor before 9:30 / after 17:00"), or "indoor movement plan today".
  2. Tap Place to add one: name, kind, best time, duration limit, what to bring, optional coordinates for the map.
  3. Tap Visited today after an outing. Places not visited in three months show "rotate in".

Trips#

  1. Go to Outside › Trips and tap Trip, or Start one of the templates under Roadmap of trips.
  2. Set the title, dates, and Purpose tags (immersion, grandparents, sea confidence, learning, identity, resilience, nature). Suggested packing appears as you tick.
  3. On the trip page: Packing (adult) checklist, Her checklist with big picture buttons, Suggested activities, and the Journal.
  4. During the trip, tap Journal entry with a location and a photo caption. On the last night, tap Last-night review: what we learned, best moment, next time. It creates a portfolio page.

Today shows a trip shortcut while a trip is active.

Festivals#

Outside › Festivals & rhythm lists Islamic, lunar, Malaysian, and Maldivian dates through 2030, lunar dates marked approximate, with project suggestions. Tap Add to plan to make a festival the week's focus and add a block on the day. Tap Festival to add your own.

FAQ

Do guests need an account to RSVP?

No. The RSVP link opens a plain page with Yes and No buttons. It works in any browser without JavaScript.

Why are relatives not suggested for playdates?

A weekly grandparent call is a different rhythm. The rotating scheduler suggests peer families, neighbours, and friends only.
