Set a password, sign in, and manage devices

Goal: sign in the way that suits you, and know which devices are signed in.

  • Email link: on the login screen, type your email and tap Email me a sign-in link. The link expires in 15 minutes and works in the browser you used.
  • Password: type email and password, tap Sign in.

Set or change a password#

  1. Go to Settings › Account (parents) or Me (Day-to-day adults with an email).
  2. Under Password, type the current password if one exists, the new one (at least 10 characters), and confirm.
  3. Tap Save password or Update password. Other devices are signed out for safety.

Devices#

Signed-in devices are listed per account; the owner sees the whole family's. Sign a device out remotely if a phone is lost. Deactivating an adult signs out all their devices.

Sign out#

Settings › Account › Sign out, or Me › Sign out for Day-to-day adults.

FAQ

I forgot my password.

Use Email me a sign-in link on the login screen. Once in, set a new password from Settings › Account.

Why can't a Day-to-day adult set a password?

She joined with a one-tap link on her device, which has no email. If she wants email sign-in on a second device, the owner creates a new invite with an email.
